The Carrier 18MS Microsteam Power System is a complete, compact self-contained power system designed to generate electric power from available steam energy. It creates savings through energy generation from a source that is often available but not been used. It utilizes the steam that is usually pressure reduced through a Pressure Reduce Valve (PRV) and that now will generate energy rather than simply waste it. Each 4lbs/hr of steam is now capable of generating 1kW of electricity that can be used to offset peak demand.
