(NYSE:UTX), was honored with three ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating
and Air-Conditioning Engineers) Innovation Awards in New York City during the recent AHR
(Air conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating) Expo. Carrier’s Evergreen® 23XRV with
Foxfire™ compression technology won in the category of “Green Building.”

(Syracuse, N.Y. – November 15, 2006) - The AHR Expo® and its sponsors ASHRAE and ARI have announced that the AQUAFORCE™ 30XA air-cooled chiller has earned an Honorable Mention for the 2007 AHR Expo Innovation Awards.
“The AHR Expo Innovation Awards program recognizes companies that are exhibiting at the expo like Carrier that have developed the most creative and useful products in nine categories in the HVAC&R industry,” stated Clay Stevens, the manager of the 2007 AHR Expo. All members of ASHRAE, the judges were selected by the ASHRAE Journal. “The judges evaluated all the submissions to determine the winners based on innovative design, creativity, application and energy efficiency,” added Stevens.

(Syracuse, N.Y. – November 15, 2006) - Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) Magazine has announced that Carrier Corporation’s Evergreen® 23XRV Variable Speed Screw Chiller is a winner in the 2006 “Perfect 10” Product of the Year awards competition and has earned bronze honors in the category of HVAC.
“The ‘Perfect 10 Awards’ were established to present CSE readers with the top new products in the major engineering system disciplines our publication regularly covers,” explained Jim Crockett, editor-in chief, CSE. The winners of this competition were selected through a two-part process. First, the entries were screened by a panel of expert judges. The selected entries were then highlighted in CSE’s annual Specifier’s Guide and voted upon by CSE’s readers who selected the products they felt were the best for each category.
