ComfortLink™ control system is an integrated, intelligent heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control system that continuously monitors and regulates unit operation with reliability and precision, minimizing downtime to ensure maximum occupant comfort. It represents the next step up from the PremierLink™ controller in terms of unit control and operational capability. The ComfortLink control system is factory installed and is compatible with the Carrier Comfort Network (CCN).
When incorporated on a packaged rooftop unit, the ComfortLink control software provides management of the unit's cooling operation, heating operation and various optional devices such as the Humidi-MiZer™ adaptive dehumidification system, economizers and power exhaust modules. Using advanced software algorithms, the ComfortLink system is capable of more precise climate control, unit staging operation and unit complexity than typical field installed control systems or thermostats.
ComfortLink controls utilize the same hardware between multiple types of units. However, the software of the system varies depending on whether the unit is a constant volume unit, variable air volume (VAV) unit or a displacement ventilation/single-zone VAV unit. Refer to the specific unit's Controls-Start-Up-Operation manuals for details on each system’s type of operation, options and capabilities.
ComfortLink controls are equipped with a standard scrolling marque interface. The Navigator™ diagnostic display tool by Carrier can also be used, as well as the CCN Service Tool, ComfortVIEW™ and ComfortWORKS® software. When used as part of CCN, other devices such as the CCN data transfer, Linkage Thermostat, or comfort controller can read data from or write data to the retrofit controller.
