    • Full Day - $300 US (0.7 CEU's)
    • Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (lunch included)
    • HAP Advanced Training focuses on building energy simulation. Training covers in-depth, hands-on operation of energy analysis including simulation weather, energy profiles, air systems, plant performance, utility rate modeling, and includes analysis of multiple building scenarios.
  • HAP for LEED® Certification Training:
    • Full Day - $300 US (0.7 CEU's)
    • Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (lunch included)
    • This intense 1 day class presented by Carrier Software Systems focuses on the LEED® EA credit 1, Optimized Energy Performance. Advanced HAP techniques are applied to Whole Building Energy Simulation and ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-2004 and 2007 requirements. Training covers in-depth, hands-on application of baseline and proposed building energy analysis and includes development of creative HVAC system alternatives for more LEED-NC/LEED-Building Design & Construction points.
    • Prerequisite: Prior knowledge of HAP load estimating and energy simulation is helpful but not mandatory, LEED-NC EAc1 and ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G familiarity is recommended.
  • Engineering Economic Analysis Training:
    • 1/2 Day - $150 US (0.4 CEU's)
    • Schedule:
      8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (AM sessions)
      1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (PM sessions)
    • Hands-on session covering the basic operation of the E20-II Engineering Economic Analysis program. This session is devoted to comparing the lifecycle economics of alternative designs for commercial HVAC systems. Attendees will learn how to apply the program for four types of economic analysis - (1) simple payback, (2) simple cash flow, (3) private sector lifecycle, (4) public sector lifecycle.
  • Block Load Basic Training:
    • 1/2 Day - $150 US (0.4 CEU's)
    • Schedule:
      8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (AM sessions)
      1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (PM sessions)
    • Hands-on session covering the basic operation of the Block Load Program (v4.10). Each student will learn how to use the program by completing several simple project exercises, including definition and input of design weather data, construction materials and HVAC system parameters, interpretation of load calculation reports, and how to determine HVAC equipment size.
Additional engineering training is available from our Engineering Training Center.

International Association For Continuing Education and Training

E20-II software training as part of Carrier's Technical Training Center has been reviewed and approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). IACET's mission is to promote and enhance quality in continuing education and training through research, education, and standard setting. IACET Authorized Providers undergo a strict evaluation of their educational processes according to the IACET Criteria and Guidelines, including two reviews by IACET's Commission and a site visit by an IACET Commissioner. Members of the organization are the educational professionals that strive to provide the highest quality in continuing education and training.
Course Leaning Outcomes
As part of the E20-II software training, each student will learn how to use the program by completing several simple project exercises. These exercises are intended to confirm the student's ability to understand the course learning outcomes.
Continuing Education Credits (CEU's)
One (1) IACET CEU is equal to ten (10) classroom contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. After successfully completing this training, the student will receive an appropriate number of CEU's based on the classroom contact time. In addition, the student should feel very comfortable using the E20-II software to enhance their HVAC related job responsibilities.

NOTE: Because each state and municipality has their own rules, it is the responsibility of the participant to determine whether their agency accepts IACET CEUs toward whatever certification they are pursuing - mechanical contractor license, professional engineer license, architect license, etc. This is not the responsibility of Carrier Corporation or its agents.
